Developed in 1942 and issued to the 10th Mountain Division during winter combat or alpine training, the M-ration included coffee, milk, cereal, chocolate, biscuits, compressed fruits, soups and all the necessary calories for three meals. Pete Seibert’s journey during his time within the 10th Mountain Division was rife with M-ration.
